Through my life I have learned important lessons like being nice to others, but I wonder how people learn these things that all people should know. Whether it be something simple like "Teachers like students that participate in class", or something more serious like learning not to discriminate against others, I want to know how we learn these things.
The image above shows my belief that in order to learn something important, you must experience something else. Some people might learn that discrimination is wrong because when they were a child they saw another kid in their class be tortured with hurtful words just because they were of another race. It is also important to talk about what happens and what will happen in the world through discussion. In order to learn important life lessons, people need to be educated about those who have not learned these lessons. How do we know that terrorism is wrong if we never learn about it? We can not.
Learning through teaching others might sound a bit confusing, but it can be very simple. It might be to give lectures on what your morals are and what you prefer to do in certain situations, but it can also be as simple as telling a person not to bully someone else. If you truly believe that bullying is wrong then it will not be hard to tell others your beliefs. The question I have for you is - easier to learn through experiences or through teaching others? This is obviously a matter of opinion, but I am curious to see what you guys say.
